Payment / transaction volume

Where an available and approved card model applies, a fan may also use their FloraCard to make payments outside the club. Under an agreed revenue-share model, the club may be eligible to participate in contractually defined, qualifying payment revenues arising from card transaction volume. Transaction volume itself is not club revenue.

Partners & commissions

A club can integrate its own partners, sponsors and offers into the FloraCard ecosystem. If a FloraCard member purchases or books a relevant partner offer, this may give rise to an additional referral or partner commission for the club.

This is particularly relevant because existing sponsors can do more than buy visibility: they can make specific offers available to the community, while the club may create additional monetisation opportunities.

Own online shop / fan shop

Merchandise, tickets, jerseys, fan products, events and other proprietary products can be connected directly with FloraCard. The club retains its own shop and product revenues, subject to the applicable commercial arrangements.

Fans can become members. Members can become active customers. And a community can develop its own economic ecosystem.

BUILT TO CONNECT

One infrastructure.
Many possibilities.

FloraCard connects digital membership, community engagement and loyalty. Depending on the product model, card and payment capabilities may also be provided by the respective authorised providers.

COMMUNITY PLATFORMMEMBERSHIP & LOYALTYCARD & BENEFITSPAYMENT BY AUTHORISED PARTNERS

The platform itself is not a payment service provider, credit institution or card issuer. Payment services and card issuance are subject to the separate terms and conditions of the relevant provider.

POWERED BY STRONG PARTNERS

Stronger
together.

FloraCard brings together the capabilities of three strong partners: VISA, Beyond by RS2 and Mediengruppe Deutschland.

Together, we connect payment, technology, a digital platform, loyalty, community and communications into a scalable ecosystem for clubs, influencers, businesses and organisations.

FLEXIBLE PAYMENT INFRASTRUCTURE

One platform.
More possibilities.

FloraCard is not inherently tied to a single card scheme.

The FloraCard platform provides the digital infrastructure for community, membership, loyalty, reward programmes, digital identity and app integration. Subject to technical, regulatory and contractual requirements, the payment and card layer may also be implemented with other suitable payment and card partners.

The community chooses the brand – FloraCard provides the infrastructure behind it.

Getting started & platform

01Who is FloraCard designed for?Read answerClose answer

For organisations with an active community, including clubs, cities, tourism associations, creators, brands, and event and hospitality businesses. The right model depends on your reach, objectives and your community’s needs.

02What does FloraCard cost for partners?Read answerClose answer

The core system may be made available to organisational customers without upfront setup costs. Services, additional development, ongoing costs and potential revenue-sharing arrangements are agreed individually; there is no universal cost commitment.

03What are the minimum requirements for launch?Read answerClose answer

An active community, a designated contact person and a viable communications strategy are important. The concept uses around 5,000 potential members as a guideline; smaller or specialist communities are assessed individually.

04How long does it take to implement FloraCard?Read answerClose answer

Depending on scope, integration and approvals, a launch can take approximately 8 to 16 weeks. We establish a realistic timeline only once the specific project has been aligned.

05How do the app and physical card work together?Read answerClose answer

The app brings together digital membership, communications and benefits; a customised card can make belonging visible in everyday life. A payment function is added only where the required providers, contracts and approvals are in place.

06Is the credit card function mandatory?Read answerClose answer

No. Membership and loyalty can be used without a payment function. Whether a payment card is offered depends on the selected model and on technical, regulatory and contractual requirements.

07How does the Co-Owner programme work?Read answerClose answer

Organisations can involve their members in selected matters through votes when this feature is agreed and activated. In this context, participation does not confer ownership interests or corporate-law rights.

08What is a dynamic member ranking?Read answerClose answer

Depending on the configuration, activities can contribute to points, status levels and additional benefits. Each organisation decides which actions count and which benefits are unlocked.

09Which technology partners support FloraCard?Read answerClose answer

FloraCard names VISA, Beyond by RS2 and Mediengruppe Deutschland as strong partners. The actual provision of card and payment services is also subject to the responsible providers, contracts and regulatory approvals.

10How is FloraCard integrated into existing systems?Read answerClose answer

FloraCard features can be integrated into an existing app through suitable interfaces; alternatively, an app can be provided in your own brand identity. We assess which shop, CRM or other systems can be connected as part of the project.

Membership & experience

11How does member registration work?Read answerClose answer

Registration is completed digitally in line with the agreed membership model. If a regulated payment product is offered as well, identity verification by the responsible provider may be required; its process and timing follow that provider’s requirements.

12What data may be collected?Read answerClose answer

Information required for membership and offers, and—where applicable—usage and interaction data. The data that may actually be processed depends on the purpose, legal basis, consents and privacy information for the relevant offering.

13What does the business case look like?Read answerClose answer

Potential revenue sources include memberships, suitable partner offers and—where planned and permitted—transaction models. Outcomes are individual and depend, among other things, on activated members, usage, terms and marketing; the calculator displays model values only.

14How is the system funded?Read answerClose answer

The business model can combine agreed membership, partner and, where applicable, transaction revenues. Funding, services and revenue-sharing arrangements are contractually clarified before a project starts; partners are not subject to a blanket obligation to provide advance funding.

15When does FloraCard pay for itself?Read answerClose answer

There is no guaranteed timeframe. Financial viability depends on the individually agreed model, activation of your community and actual revenues and costs. We discuss the assumptions based on your business case.

16What motivates members to use it?Read answerClose answer

Relevant member benefits, such as priority ticket access, exclusive content, experiences, reward points, encounters and—where offered—participation. Each organisation determines what is actually available to its community.

17How does the loyalty system work?Read answerClose answer

Members can earn points for defined actions or purchases and redeem them for benefits, products or experiences under the relevant organisation’s rules. Scope and conditions are set individually.

18How does partner integration work?Read answerClose answer

Advertising partners and sponsors can be integrated into the community environment with relevant offers. Whether and how points or benefits arise is agreed under each partner programme.

19What card design options are available?Read answerClose answer

The presentation can be tailored to your organisation’s brand; premium designs or votes on selected design details are also possible. Materials, features and issuance must be aligned with the responsible provider in each case.

20How long does it take to deliver the card?Read answerClose answer

For a physical card, the concept indicates approximately 6 to 9 weeks after all required approvals as a guide. Actual production and delivery depend on the provider and project; digital features can launch separately and potentially earlier.

Operations & development

21How long does it take to deliver a replacement card?Read answerClose answer

An estimated 1 to 3 weeks may serve as a non-binding guide. Actual timing depends on the card issuer, production and delivery method.

22How secure is the platform?Read answerClose answer

Security and data protection are considered in the specific technical and contractual implementation. Requirements, responsibilities and any evidence must be assessed for each product model; we do not make blanket certification or security guarantees here.

23Does FloraCard work internationally?Read answerClose answer

Expansion beyond Germany, particularly within Europe, can be assessed. Availability and features depend on the relevant market, data protection requirements, payment partners and applicable rules.

24Who is responsible for operations and support?Read answerClose answer

Platform operations and agreed services can be managed centrally. The respective agreements determine which responsibilities are assumed by your organisation, FloraCard or external providers.

25What support is needed from the partner?Read answerClose answer

Above all, a responsible contact person as well as marketing and communications to activate the community. Additional involvement depends on the integration, content and agreed scope of services.

26Are there additional costs?Read answerClose answer

Yes. Exceptional requirements, additional interfaces or new features can result in additional costs. Such services and prices are discussed transparently and agreed before work is commissioned.

27How is member activation supported?Read answerClose answer

Through a joint strategy combining communications, relevant benefits, campaigns and exclusive content. Actual registration and usage depend on the community and implementation; we cannot guarantee a particular rate.

28Is there a dashboard for partners?Read answerClose answer

Partner data is currently managed centrally by the FloraCard superadmin; a dedicated partner login is not enabled. Whether and how metrics or a partner dashboard may be provided in future is agreed individually.

29How scalable is FloraCard?Read answerClose answer

The platform is designed for different scales and multiple community models. We align specific capacities, features and service levels with your requirements.

30What long-term role can FloraCard play for an organisation?Read answerClose answer

It can become your own access point for membership, community communications, loyalty and relevant offers. This can strengthen your brand and your direct relationship with fans and customers without relying on a single social-media feed.

Specific audiences

31Is there a FloraCard for younger audiences under 18?Read answerClose answer

A solution limited to membership and benefits for young people aged 16 and over can be assessed. Whether and on what terms minors may participate must be clarified for the specific model, legally and with the responsible providers; Section 110 of the German Civil Code alone is not blanket permission.

32What features could a FloraCard for young people aged 16 and over include?Read answerClose answer

A potential junior version would focus on membership, loyalty and community experiences—without a credit card function. Available services, consents and age thresholds would be defined separately.

33Is there a solution for users with limited creditworthiness?Read answerClose answer

A prepaid solution based on stored value can be assessed as part of a suitable card product. Actual availability depends on the relevant card issuer, identity verification, regulatory requirements and contractual terms.
